Q. How do I obtain an accident or incident report?
Crash reports can be picked up at the Police Department Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. thru 4:00 p.m. $6 from the Police Department.
Incident reports require an Open Records Request which can be obtained through the Police Department Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. thru 4:00 p.m. and are normally ready between 2-10 days.
Q. How do I find out if someone is in jail?
A. Call the Ellis County Sheriff’s Office at 972-937-6060.
Q. Does the Police Department do fingerprinting?
A. No
Q. How do I make a police report?
A. If it is an emergency – call 911. For non-emergency situations call 972-937-6060 to have a Palmer Police Department Officer dispatched.
