FISCAL YEAR 2023-2024
CITY OF PALMER, TEXAS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the City Council of the City of Palmer, Texas will hold a Public Hearing at its Regular Meeting on September 19, 2023, at 6:30 p.m. at the Palmer City Hall, 650 S. Dallas, Palmer, Texas 75152, to receive public comment regarding the City of Palmer Proposed Fiscal Year 2023-2024 Budget. At said time the council may consider the adoption of an ordinance adopting said Proposed Budget. All interested citizens and any other persons of interest, are invited to attend and participate in the public hearing. Also, any such interested person may attend the meeting to express his or her opinion concerning the Proposed Budget or state their comments by letter addressed to the Palmer City Secretary, P.O. Box 489, Palmer, Texas 75152 or email addressed to ezaidle@ci.palmer.tx.us.
This budget will raise more revenue from property taxes than last year’s budget by an amount of $118,357 which is an 8.57 percent increase from last year’s budget. The property tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the tax roll this year is $59,702.
